This week on Earth Threads! All Hands and Hearts is finishing it's second house project.
So far, we have mucked and gutted and crawled under houses here in the Florida Heat in order to remove insulation and particle wood, in order to provide a safe home and environment free of black mold after the flood waters stormed local neighbors last year during Hurricane Ian.
Please consider donating to help fund the safety equipment and necessary essentials for are team camped out here in Fort Myers, Florida.
Visit www.allhandsandhearts.org, or click on the link at the bottom of this page to reach the Classy donation platform that will send funds directly to the hurricane Ian relief program, here in Fort Myers, Florida.
Here are some photos from today's project, just North of Cape Coral, FL.
Here is what a typical plot will look like in the neighborhoods by the coast, where the houses were not salvageable and had to be completely demolished. Many homes have families that are still displaced, and in need of reconstruction.
Along side staying hydrated and getting enough vitamins for the day, the team provides sanitation services As well as removal of investigated installation and scrubbing of the stud timbers in order to ensure that pores of the wood are opened and can recieve the treatment needed for rehabitation.
