Our Story - As We Evolve

EarthThreads International & the Camiji Foundation were founded in 2019 in memory of my good friend MacKenzie Dean Cunningham, and inspired by his dear family friend Dr. Simba Tirima and the TerraForm project in Kenya.

EarthThreads International is a non-profit originally imagined in 2007, when I was 10 years old. Befriending the Tibetan Monks/University Students who lived in my neighborhood inspired a lifestyle of discipline & serving others.

EarthThreads is a platform for proposing solutions for important social & environmental issues, in order to advocate for the establishment of legislation protecting human rights, local communities, & to help build a global community that stands for change, awareness, & sustainability, in the 21st century.

EarthThreads International has hosted yearly fundraising projects under the Camiji Foundation for charity organizations such as Polaris Project: Anti-Human-Trafficking, Star of Hope Mission: Women's Family Shelter, Sanfilippo Children's Research Foundation, & local community events advocating for equal opportunity & child labor laws in Guatemala. 

The goal in Guatemala is to help the restabilization movement for affected communities after 50 years of civil war (1950-1996) & commercial exploitation. This groundwork project is: the Grand Initiative of Guatemala and Call for Reform (La Gran Iniciativa de Guatemala y la Llamada a la Reforma), with a worldwide vision.

The next step in making this dream come true is dedicating EarthThreads International Annual Charity Projects to organizations such as Codesh Ministries, Star of Hope Mission, and so many others, to help make a difference in the world in areas beyond our borders! We raise funds for local Guatemalan organizations like Codesh Ministries while even sponsoring volunteers to travel & participate in the life changing extracurricular activities for children with sensory & autoimmune disabilities in Momostenango, Guatemala, as well as envisioning future projects such as building community gardens for educational purposes, building trails and beautifying natural resources, supplying clinics, and supporting housing facilities.

Projects primarily focus on Environmental Awareness & Social Development, advocating for the implementation of educational programs, protection of local ecosystems, as well as equal access to education & resources. Last year, EarthThreads International dedicated to 4 rebuilding projects with All Hands & Hearts & their Natural Disaster Response & Analysis Teams, in Florida, Vermont, Brazil & Nepal, where I met an amazing group of community activists & representatives.

EarthThreads International also distributes authentic/traditional artisan goods, & has affiliated & participated with several sustainable community, human rights advocacy & city-recognized festival-arts groups for the purpose of bringing together the community in globally conscious efforts.

Through the Camooji Audio-Vizual Productions group, EarthThreads International has presented a number of documentaries and shorts sharing parts of our journey around the world over the years! From expeditions to home videos, live music to talks on consciousness, sharing out story is what we believe is the most important thing.

Wilderness expeditions and aquatic safety were primary focuses throughout my life, and central to who I am today. I am so excited to integrate that knowledge into our new learning academy! 🌲 

EarthThreads International is proud to announce that we are offering American Red Cross: Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED certification training through a blended learning course, for $95!

EarthThreads Life Safety Academy is now proud partners of the American Red Cross, and providing mobile training throughout the U.S.. Whether you are a childcare provider, group fitness instructor or wilderness adventurer extraordinaire, our classes are a fit for you. 

By combining our learning curriculum with the American Red Cross, students can access online study materials through the Red Cross Learning Center, and upon completion of the online portion, complete their certification training with our two and a half hour in-person skills session.

Located at our studio warehouse office in East downtown Houston, or around the corner for out-of-state inquiries, we look look forward to providing you with our expert services.
