All Hands and Hearts 2023

 This year's 2023 EarthThreads International nonprofit project will be volunteering with the AHAH - Hurricane Ian Relief Program, in Fort Myers, Florida. All Hands and Hearts is an international nonprofit for prodivding aid and relief by methodically rebuilding and recovering residential areas after natural disasters, and provides immediate response to humanitarian crisis around the world, bringing awareness and public attention to the humanitarian needs and current state of those in these specific regions. 


AHAH, as of June 2023, after closing out their California Wildfire Program for the season, currently only has one active-program in the United States, at Fort Myers, Florida, and then around the world where volunteers are responding at sites such as in Mexico Nepal & Turkey after high magnitude Earthquakes devistated those areas.

I look forward to learning new trade skills, in order to help stabilize and rebuild areas facing poverty, political corruption, and that have been impacted by natural disaster. Though these events are tragic, let us use the opportunity to rebuild in those areas, and provide much needed infrastructure, stability, and resource accessability, such as, clean water, food distribution, sanitation and educational facilities. 

Further update! All Hands and Hearts in Nepal was my proejct for early December, and I had the pleasure of working with some really cool people, and bringing my ukalele to share some smiles around the fire. It was awesome celebrating my birthday with everyone, as well as Christmas holiday. I'm glad I could have this experience.

To be real, though, it might be a while before I try working on a program with AHAH again, Things became complicated when there was a harrassment investigation in Vermont, and a lack of one again here in Nepal. Almost every incident seems to be related to misconduct and the abuse of alcohol, and lack of rule enforcement. I hope that thngs can become more organized for the well being of the volunteers. For the youth, and for all genders who choose to work with this group.

EarthThreads International 2024 Project Collaboration with Codesh Ministries!

 As we do every year, EarthThreads International has chosen the charity organization we will be working with all of this year: Codesh Ministries!  At the preliminary one-on-one meeting with Pastor and Director for Codesh Ministry - Sr. Ricardo In collaborating with Codesh Ministries and the schools they sponsor, we hope to successfully fundraising and develop project activities for the benefit of their mission and the local community surrounding and including the Department of Quetzaltenango in Guatemala.
